Reservations
If, after looking through our Vacation Rental Cottages you find one that suits your needs, call or fill in the Reservation/Information form. If you have specific dates in mind we recommend you contact us as soon as possible, to insure availability. Note: Rentals begin and end on Fridays. If you are looking for more information or general availability you may contact us by phone or email. We will respond to your e-mail within 24 hours. However, you must call us at (269) 857-4771 or (616) 836-4546, if you wish to make a reservation. We do not make reservations via the internet.
When we finalize your reservation we will let you know the amount of rental deposit required. Your deposit must be received within 7 days to confirm your reservation. If we do not receive your deposit we will cancel the reservation and may rent the Cottage to someone else.
Cancellations
Upon reservation, your cottage is considered “Sold in Advance”. Cancellations requested more than sixty (60) days in advance of the rental date will result in the return of your rental deposit. If you cancel with less than sixty (60) days notice there will be no refund of your deposit.
Security Deposit
A damage and cleaning security deposit will be required, at the time of check-in. This deposit may be refunded at checkout providing no damages or extra cleaning charges are incurred. If there are damages or extra cleaning is required, charges will be deducted from your security deposit and any balance due will be returned by mail within 30 days of your departure
Checking In and Out
Check-in is between 2:00pm and 8:00pm, Eastern Standard Time, the day your stay begins. Check-in arrangements must be made in advance by calling (269) 857 4771 or (616) 836-4546.
The rental balance due and security deposits will be collected at the time of check-in. A cashiers’ check, money order, certified funds or cash is required. Personal checks will not be accepted. The balance is due before occupancy will be allowed, no exceptions will be made!
Checkout time is 10:00am on the day of your departure. Late checkout’s will be charged a minimum of $50.00 which will be deducted from the security deposit.
Housekeeping
Prior to your arrival, the home/cottage is cleaned and set up with basic paper products and cleaning supplies. The renter is to supplement these as necessary and maintain the property in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.
When the renter leaves the property it should be in the same condition as it was found i.e. dishes washed, floor swept, grill cleaned, trash placed in the provided containers, etc. If extraordinary cleaning is required, the cost will be deducted from the security deposit.
General Information
• Smoking is prohibited inside all rental properties.
• Each property holds a maximum number of people, please note the number indicated in each property's description. This number may not be exceeded. Violation of the above two policies may result in immediate eviction, with no refund and forfeiture of security deposits.
• Pets are permitted in some properties with prior approval. An additional cleaning/security deposit will be required.
• Comforters, blankets and pillows are provided. Bed linens and towels are not provided but can be rented for an additional charge.
• Most rental properties do not have telephones. A cell phone is recommended.
Internet access is available in some Cottages. Please ask if this is required. There are a number of internet cafes available in downtown Saugatuck.
